Auditions for the musical production of “Stepsisters” – Friday and Saturday
The Ripon Area Community Theater is hosting auditions for its summer musical production, Stepsisters, at the First Congregational Church in Ripon on Fridays from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Callbacks will be made on Tuesday, May 24 from 5 to 7 p.m
The show is open to all actors/actresses aged 12 and over.
Rehearsals will take place from June 13 to August 11 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Performance dates are August 12th, 13th and 14th.
The audition consists of singing and reading. Those who audition must prepare a 2-minute song for the performance. It can be performed with or without accompaniment. Readings will be provided at the auditions.
An open call for musicians and crew will be held, with sign-up forms available on both rehearsal days for those interested in volunteering in any of these areas.

“Stepsisters” is a musical comedy that tells the story of Cinderella through the eyes of Cinderella’s stepsisters; who insist that they are innocent and that the Brothers Grimm are doing everything wrong.

Movie Night at Barlow Park – Saturday
Riponfest and the City of Ripon team up to bring the community another movie night in the park.
The Encanto screening is scheduled for Saturday at 7 p.m. behind the Homefield fence in the park.
Popcorn, treats and drinks are available for purchase.
“We look forward to seeing everyone there,” Riponfest said on Facebook.
Likewise, the city added on social media that it is “excited to be collaborating with Riponfest 2.0 for this Saturday’s Movie Night in the Park.”
Friday, May 20th – Karaoke Night:
The Patimes Pub & Grille is hosting a karaoke night on Friday at 8:30pm and invites the community to join in the fun.
Princeton Wine Walk – Saturday
The Princeton Chamber of Commerce is hosting the Sip and Shop on the Fox Wine Walk along Shops of Water Street on blocks 400-600 of West Water Street on Saturday.
“Take a stroll through the city with a twist with the Princeton Chamber of Commerce,” the chamber says. “Water Street will be closed to allow you to drink wine and shop at the local shops.”

Saturday, May 21st – Plant exchange:
Do you have a plant that you have outgrown? Do you have cuttings you want to share?
Visit the Ripon Public Library for a plant swap on Saturday, May 21 from 10am-12pm in the Silver Creek Room.
Participants should bring plants or cuttings that they would like to give away or trade.
Repotting in the library is not permitted. Plants need to be ready to go home with someone else, so plants shouldn’t be brought into favorite planters. All ages are welcome.
Live Music at Vines & Rushes – Friday and Saturday
Vines & Rushes Winery will be hosting live music with Rock River 2 on Friday from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m
“Glen Navis & Mike Bautz of the Rock River Band will perform a mix of country, blues and rock cover music,” says the winery.
On Saturday, Vines & Rushes will host live music with Dan Braaksma & Al Muenchow from 2pm to 5pm

Princeton Flea Market – Saturday
Wisconsin’s largest outdoor flea market in Princeton City Park runs Saturdays from 6 a.m. and lasts until early afternoon.
